Strong start with Chicago giving Tower of Power a run for their money.

that Chicago song was hot, and NTM, I would say.

yay! Staple Singers!  Mavis sang the soundtrack songs to two movies I watched recently Let's Do It Again and A Piece of the Action.  Curtis Mayfield wrote both soundtracks

Yup, I looked it up.  Good call!  And now from Heavy Metal to Heavy Meddle.  Awesome rockin' set today!

And the (non-)hits just keep on coming with "Hymn 43", a Random Numbers standard.

More horny rock with Blood Sweat and Tears Ides of March(?)Lighthouse.  Great stuff.  And a cool ad for the Viewmaster.  Was that Henry Fonda?

ETA: Google says yes, and not only that, the girl is Jodie Foster.

I think that's Faces backing him on that track, although only two of them are credited on the album--Woody and McLagan. Titanic drumming.

Back to the states, Lighthouse One Fine Morning.  VHM.

ETA: Not quite. Turns out Lighthouse is Canadian. Ya sure, ya betcha.

Anyone catch the bonus track? I remember hearing AL's tease going into commercial, then spaced (translation: did work) for an indefinite time only to emerge for Losing My Religion. Something in there I missed?
