Gotta run to see a lawyer about suing my employer, should be fun!

So it's come to that, eh?  I'm sorry to hear.  Hope it goes as well as possible.

Just caught up on this on the Cow Orker thread.  Yikes.  Thoughts are with you.

BOS to the Monkees and a single I tend to take for granted.

And now to the poppier side of '67--Live for Today into Pleasant Valley Sunday. For a completely contrived group, the Monkees really had it going on.
Let's get right to it.

I love it even as I roll my eyes over a wealthy songwriter dissing materialism.

I wonder if Pleasant Valley ever had Spare The Air days? what with all that driving and the charcoal cookouts and all...

I think Gerry and Carole had a good grasp on what the audience wanted to hear, regardless of their bank balance.

O.M.G. Uber-BOS, the Kinks magnum opus, Waterloo Sunset. If ever a song evoked London in my mind, this is the one.

ETA: And it's a bustout, too. About time.

I too enjoyed this.  Made me wonder again about whether it's really worth buying the Beatles' reissues in mono.

The Turtles got Ray Davies to produce an album for them because they loved "Waterloo Sunset."
