If any of you hadn't heard, my mother-in-law passed away on Wednesday. We're sad, but it's also a blessing. She will be missed, cantankerous broad that she was.

Very sorry for the pain you're all going through right now.  I hope you are able to celebrate the finer and funner points of her life in the coming days.  Stay strong, sailor.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone, both here and those that posted on my FB page. We are indeed finding some good, funny, uplifting things coming out of the experience, so it's not 100% bummer.

And I was happy to find that the second set replayed this morning was this '73 one--so I lounged with a cuppa cawffee and listened to it front to back. Indeed, a good 'un. And I too missed the horns on the Stevie tune--I never realized there were two mixes released. Man, he was hot in those days--that four-album run from Inner Visions (or was Talking Book out first?) thru Songs in the Key of Life was truly epic.
Let's get right to it.
