First set I've caught in real time in over a week - and it's .38 Special.  Sigh.

BOS to JJ, "Steppin' Out."  I always feel better when I hear this.  Escapism at its finest.

totally, what a great song!   BOS

btw, no guitars used on this album.

glad I missed .38 Not So Special.  I think they have like one song I "like," but I can't think of it at teh moment.  And why should I?

I'm thinking JJ will be as close a the Drive will come to 80s new wavy music in this set.

Colin Hay has a great voice.   it's texture and tone remind me of another sandy haired bloke from the 80s (and beyond): Dave Wakeling.

btw, the English Beat (which, in this country, is basically Dave Wakeling and his backing band, methinks) will be at the Sausalito Art Fest next Saturday.

BOS Duran2.  i remember this song blaring over our gym speakers when our volleyball team was practicing early one morning.  We all started moaning along with the woman at the end of the song.  Good times.
