Yup. I expected the still-unvisited '88 set today. So '80s/'90s/theme set are our choices tomorrow. 

and I'm still astounded that that garage-y thing we couldn't identify was Paul Revere. Gaz woulda known, I guess. And "A Certain Girl" was the Yardbirds' first single (!) and was also recorded by Ernie K Doe -- and written by Allen Toussaint.

Wow, after a side trip to Moreyville, AL is def back to plowing new ground this week. I probably could have gotten the Revere tune, but that Yardbirds single is a new one on me entirely (at least their rendition of it--"what's her name? I can't tell ya"). I'll have to make a point to tune in tonight.

Just now catching up on some threads.  Yeah, I would have known the Paul Revere.  :)  Barely missed the Top 40, was cited in Dave Marsh's 1,001 most important singles in rock 'n' soul.

Didn't catch this until this morning, but oh my, what a set, and for me the major Kudo's to Annalisa goes to playing the Impressions.  Back in '05, when Dave played a '65 set that I dedicated to my bro' Chris on his 40th, I was inspired to compile a best of '65 mix disc to send him along with the set itself, and it was only in that endeavor that I finally listened to the original.  And over the years since I've completely fallen in love with it.
