Tues 8/11/09: 1988

Boy Meets Girl -Waiting For a Star To Fall
INXS -New Sensation
Pet Shop Boys/Dusty Springfield-What Have I Done To Deserve This
Bon Jovi -Bad Medicine
When In Rome -The Promise
Robert Plant -Tall Cool One
Erasure -Chains of Love
U2 -Desire
Steve Winwood -Roll With It

nicely played: kudos on Boy meets Girl, When in Rome, PSBs/Dusty, Erasure, and the cheezetastic "Bad Medicine".  AL has yet to visit '88; She could copy this one verbatim and I wouldn't complain.

Wed 8/12/09: 1995

Dionne Farris -I Know
Sublime -Santeria
Collective Soul -December
Montell Jordan -This Is How We Do It
Blues Traveler -Run-Around
Shania Twain -Any Man Of Mine
Bush -Comedown
Pearl Jam -Better Man
T.L.C. -Waterfalls

No offense to AL, but her set yesterday coulda used some of the pop and R&B displayed above. The Montell Jordan and TLC tracks are what '95 was about for me.

he played the Ventura County Fair earlier this week, a friend's mini-review:

Rick Springfield. Didn't have the teenage fandom thing for him, so there was no nostalgia base for me -- but he was surprisingly great! Obviously has been touring all this time -- very rockstar, very engaging, LOVES being a star -- and shockingly, utterly hot. And played a rocking version of "Jet", so thumbs up? Amazingly?
