Noticed one mistake/omission in that obituary. It said that she learned of her husband's assassination in "a phone call from a Japanese journalist." In a literal sense that's true. But in actuality, she heard it from Ken Kashiwahara, who, besides being of Japanese ancestry and an ABC correspondent based in SF at the time, is married to Benigno Aquino's sister Lupita, and was traveling with Aquino not as a member of the press, but as a family member.

wow, his experience in Saigon as it fell in 75 is also pretty harrowing...
