What time is it when Bon Jovi comes on?  Time to get a cup of coffee.

Another escapee from 1987.

BOS Bon Jovi, just because...

ETA: the signle peaked at #1 in '86, but the album peaked at #1 in '87.  So Annalisa is right again.

Another one that Dave used to play in '87: Livin' on a Prayer. Kinda catchy but not BOS-worth, even a little bit.
Let's get right to it.

I'm assuming the LP was a late-'86 release; I seem to recall the first single didn't do that well but this rescued the album. (or did I imagine all that?)

ETA: LP released Aug '86; the single is a legal-in-both-years overlapper

BOS for the Smithereens and their Wonder Wall.  The Random Numbers used to play this song.

AMG sez it was Aug '86, and "You Give Love A Bad Name" was also a chart-topper in that year.  "Wanted Dead or Alive" only reached #7 in '87, but that is the tune that has the legs twenty years later.

never liked this Been guy.  I think you'd expect an old fart to not be too excited about 1986,  I presume this music is more in your wheelhouse.  How's it sound to you?

I'm with mshray, BOS to Bon Jovi just because I can.  And HM to the Call, because it's that good.

Yay, BOS2 to my favorite song from 1986... West End Girls!  ;D

All in all this set is looking kinda overly mainstream though... :-\

Which do you choose, the hard or soft option?

Well, I'm just sick of the has-Been because it was a Dave katrina. But '86 can go either way for me, depending how pop-oriented the set is. I'm still jonesing for "We Don't Have to Take Our Clothes Off" or the aforementioned "Let's Go All the Way".  VHM PSBs, from Lake Geneva to the Finland Station..
