It's all I can do... to keep from switching over to 'LNG.
i was on Lawn Guyland last week and was trying to find LNG, but couldn't. Couldnget get online to research or anything. I REALLY wanted to hear that station coming over the actual airwaves, so I could tell my friends about their down-home feel, their incessant yet charming reverb for the jocks, the home grown commercials for the Five and Dime store, etc. I was sad smiley for a while, I tell ya.
they're waythehell out in the Hamptons, you've gotta go pretty far East to pick 'em up. I spent a lot of time out there my last summer in NY (1990) and that's why they're so close to my heart.
right, I knew it would be tough, and we were on the North Shore and made it out to Port Jefferson, but by then I had given up all hope.
ETA: we did manage to eat a lot of seafood: steamers -- with those weird clam appendages sticking out from their shells -- lobster roll, we got a soft shell crab for some reason (but I don't think that's local). good times.
