Hard to believe that this is a bustout.  How many tracks off of Aja have we heard now?

Not exactly missed, more like avoided a lot of it.  KSAN was big into punk, and I used to listen to the KPFA punk show until they got into total overload on the snotty factor.

But I mean for all the years, I think AL has played more songs I've never heard, regardless of year.

FINALLY got my pc problems resolved.  Was listening (on an actual radio -- how last century!) but unable to post. After a pedestrian start AL once again came thru with bustouts.  the Roky E was New to Me and an ATBB, the Television was played by Rob once iirc. But damn, even the Dan was a bustout. She just continues to amaze. AND she called Annie Hall "one of the best movies of all time" so now I'm completely in love.

I looked into Roky Erickson further, and while I was glad I knew the song & that Annalisa played it, I still can't figure out what it was doing in a 1977 set.  Best I can tell it first appeared on a 1985 EP (TANC, the label was New Rose, a la the Damned song we heard).  Another interesting tidbit, the song was co-written with Doug 'Sir Douglas' Sahm.

For those not hip to Roger Kynard Erickson's tragic tale, check the AMG bio:
 
"As the 13th Floor Elevators, fame grew, so did their notoriety with local law enforcement officials, who took exception to the group's heavy experimentation with (and public support of) marijuana and LSD. The Elevators became the subject of considerable police harassment, and after Erickson was arrested for the possession of one lone joint in 1969, he pleaded insanity to avoid a prison term. A three-and-a-half year stint in the state's Hospital for the Criminally Insane followed; Erickson was diagnosed as a schizophrenic, and subjected to extensive electroshock therapy, Thorazine, and other psychoactive treatments. Though released from the hospital in 1973, Erickson was never the same person..."
