Uh-oh--this is Carlos Santana speaking. Cue the Smoooth...wait, no! Not sure what song this is, but I don't think it's that one. Have we been spared?

ETA: YESSSSS!
Let's get right to it.

Must be "(Da Le) Yaleo".  http://www.amazon.com/Supernatural-Santana/dp/B00000J7J4/ref=pd_sim_m_4

Featuring... nobody but Carlos.  Nice.  I take that back -- nice piano solo before his guitar solo.  One thing I hate about today's "download the single now as an MP3 or AAC file" culture -- no fucking liner notes, specifically for musician credits.

Goddamn lazy music companies (also Apple/Amazon) should embed that info in the file itself.  There's a place for notes, you know.

I'll BOS the Santana, I guess.

Aside: In case I'm not the only one interested in this chartwatch, Mraz's "I'm Yours" holds at #33 in its 61st chart week.  In terms of Hot 100 chart longevity, it's now in the top 5.  Outside chance of seeing some chart history in the coming weeks.

And as soon as this is done I gotta start packing up to go sell cheese at the farmer's market in McMinnville! It's Market Day here at the 10@10Club!

ETA: Outta here! Good luck with the bonus track!

*sigh*

I'm guessing it's a big wedding song this year, and it is June, after all.

Ah, good call on Santana.  Did he just say "I'm trying to penetrate the listener"?  So wonderful that it's not one of the crappy tracks that were on the radio at the time.  This one is great, and totally never heard before.

he actually said he's trying to "penetrate the next note" -- phew!

dig the song and the one before it, too.

Great set!!

With the exception of LWIII (tacky) or Ben Harper (ZzZzZ), any of the songs could have gotten a BOS from me.  Y2K would have been a fine outro/interlude but it seemed like a terrible way to start a set, fortunately she more than made up for it with Moby/Gwen Stefani.  I know it was overplayed at the time but it never got old to me and ten years later it's good to see that it has its place in time! ;D  (It would have made such a good top of the hour cooker too.)

My next favorites (very close) are Sinead Lohan & Bruce Cockburn.

Me too.  And you'll note that I was the only one who liked Moby unreservedly.

Welcome, radical 347! We're snarky and opinionated, but never hateful. We miss Dave, but Annalisa has impressed us greatly in the last 3 weeks. We're geeky and proud of it.

Welcome to the Clubhouse, Radical!  Does the 347 refer to the area code?  (I'm a former SFer who's now lived in NYC for 6+ years.)
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”
