Nice way to start the week! And a non-standard intro, to boot.
Let's get right to it.

Well, there are three possibilities in the DB. All are pretty good (from 74 how could they not?) but I'd be happiest if this were the most recent of them.

Not even gonna *look* to see what LA is playin' today. It's probably 73, since they had 74 last week when KFOG went to 73.

there are no less than three sets in the Db that kick off with this.  Perhaps the intro tells us it is the one from 11/4/2002.  The others are 10/26/2005 & 9/22/2008.

I think the 2005 set is more stellar.  More rarities anyhow.

ETA: looks like 1979 on the Sound, "Let's Go" followed by "Oliver's Army".

BOS the Rev. Al, "Sha-La-La".  Nuthin' beats Memphis horns.

LA is doing '79, FWIW.

well, Gaz'll be happy we missed GFR and Geoff'll be sorry we missed the Dead.

Anyone in touch with Gaz? -- he hasn't posted in a couple days and his "farewell" blog post was a bit, er, abrupt. Hope he's OK.

Nothing wrong with that one, but I'm partial to the selections in today's set.
