He does acknowledge us occasionally, but not nearly as much as in the past. If he doesn't play "Waterloo Sunset" before the end of the show I'd be surprised.

GAZ! Monkees' "Randy Scouse Git" on CG -- which as a UK single was called "Alternative Title"  and reached #2.

I'm amazed they played it!  One of my all-time favorite Monkee tunes.  Did the DJ explain why the title switch?  (Micky had no idea that "Randy Scouse Git" was coarse Cockney slang, he just heard it on a TV show and liked the sound of it.)

indeed, the title was changed because it's "coarse Cockney slang" and back then the BBC (the only outlet for music other than pirate radio) was pretty stuffy.  Literally the phrase means a randy (horny) contemptible person (git) from Liverpool (Scouse).

I think you should start a band called "Randy Scouse Gaz".
