And this Roxy tune is hitting the right chords as well--The Main Thing from Avalon. Where's POC?

This tune sounds familiar but I'm not placing who it is. Which in the case of 1982, could be good considering the number of Katrinas we could be hearing. Three songs in, and so far no klinkers.
Let's get right to it.

OMG!! XTC's Senses Working Overtime!! Don't think it's a first-timer, but I can't remember the last time we heard it.

Mike, looks like it's just you & me checking in for today's set.

I'm here, but working too.

I think this comes up more than you think, though it's not nearly a Katrina.  But I don't own the album, and don't know where else I'd have become so familiar with it.

Oh I can.  (I was on the verge of calling it a Katrina, actually. Certainly the XTC song Dave plays most often, at least as often as "Genls & Majors" or "Mayor of Simpleton")

Really? I'd say Making Plans for Nigel would get that honor.

Have to agree. Can anyone recall hearing this in a year-based set tho? My memory of it is mainly as an HFH or Thanksgiving Turkey.

ETA: However, WOS in this set is not necessarily a bad thing. I've been enjoying the non-katrinaness of it quite a bit.

One of those songs that were ruined for me by a TV commercial.

It has definitely been in Turkey sets, but a few appearances in '82 too. Guess I'm alone in giving it some love today.
