Gwen Dickey and Rose Royce, workin' at da Car Wash, y'all.

She was interviewed on CG's retro-chart show last week, and said she was offered a small part as a hooker in the movie, but Norman Whitfield nixed the idea -- bad for the image he was trying to build of a classy group.

Vanessa R. gets political. Cue Paddy Chayevsky.

And nice segue into Billy J's Say Goodbye to Hollywood.

TANC: Vanessa Redgrave appears just as her daughter (Natasha Richardson) clings to life.

VHM Paddy Chayefsky, tho' Bette Midler got the point across last week in more entertaining fashion.
