Something devastatingly sad about Janis Joplin in context with "Get It While You Can."

BOS They Might Be Giants, the wonderful film that gave TMBG (the duo) their name.

BOS2 the Cat Man.

BTW,the "old" WMP link still works.

Fine set; but much as I adore "Layla," this is kind of the wrong day for me to be hearing it.  Why does love got to be so sad, indeed.

it's good for anything, I think.  :)

I liked Rob's "backsell" (is that the right term?) -- pretty informative tidbits, like the Dead wanted to name their album something else that he couldn't say on the air.  I'm searching, but does anyone know the name?

just to recap: all three of these Peak player links work:

http://player.streamtheworld.com/_players/pamal/?callsign=WXPKFM  (the "new" player, you need Flash, seems to have the best sound quality)

http://player.streamtheworld.com/jbroadcast/?CALLSIGN=wxpkfm (no Flash needed)

http://nyc01.egihosting.com/883135  (old reliable WMP version)

As a matter of fact, I do. They wanted to call it Skullfuck. You can see why that caused some consternation in the Warner Brothers offices.

(I'd bet Geoff and perhaps a couple other knew that as well.)
Let's get right to it.
