I had no idea about his 9/11-Republican-ness, so it seems a little late to hold that against him
unfortunately, he made a big deal of it -- spoke at the 2004 GOP convention and praised Bush to the skies. I can understand being shaken up by 9/11 (who wasn't?) and if you lived in NYC even moreso, but someone putting his brain on hold and overlooking everything evil Bush/Cheney did in the intervening years is something that drives me crazy. I lost a longtime friend last year over this sort of thing -- suddenly he was haninging out in cyberspace with Michele Malkin and reading the
Weekly Standard and I could not pretend it didn't matter.
