This is exactly what I had in mind when I called VH's L.A. a "glammy unreal parade" on my blog yesterday.
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

And even better, that short clip of Spinal Tap's Big Bottom that led into it.
Let's get right to it.

Hey Gaz, been meaning to ask, can you forward that photo you took of Christina & me?  She saw it on your Facebook & we both agree it's one of the better shots fo us in recent years.

Your wish is granted; long live Jambi.  Just e-mailed you the high-res.

I've been trying to win those tickets to Spinal Tap Unwigged, Unplugged and Undead.  Maybe a 10at10 pilgramage to the Fillmore for that show?

Wonder if the Deejay will mention ST's reunion tour?

Tap is playin' the 'Mo? Oh jeez, I'd love to see that. Gotta see if Portland is on their itinerary.
Let's get right to it.

The back announce didn't mention ST, but in proper dinosaur rocker fashion, he did mention that "Coming up, we've got some Pink Floyd , some Doobies and .. oh looks like a little Fat Boy Slim, too."

Good news: they're playing Keller Aud. here, tix on sale this Friday.

Bad news: Not playing the Fillmore, at least according to their website. They're booked at the Paramount in Oakland. Beautiful room, but sonically it's kind of a pit.

Hmm, well I THOUGHT it was the Fillmore.  Actually, I'd rather go to the Paramount since you can get a real seat.  And it is beautiful, as you say.

Proxy of Mike, Bangles "Going Down To Liverpool"   BOS #3 & early candidate for BOS of the Month!

ETA: in fact I think this is an ATBB, unless Rob has played it.

I wanna say Rob has indeed played it, but it's a rarity for sure. I'm really pissed that I can't listen to this incarnation of 10@10.

Having nothing to do with the set, but there's an ad for Leonard Cohen's upcoming tour along the right side of the Sound's 10@10 page and he looks positively geriatric.

er, maybe that's because he's 75;)

slight correx:

Hüsker Dü wasn't part of the set, AFAIK (maybe it was the bonux track?), but tune #8 was Prince's "Let's Go Crazy"
