There's really nothing in this set that isn't worthy of a BOS vote, but I would give the overall BOS to Chicago, rather than a 10-way tie.

OMG -- tears all around for Dave's swan-song song.

That really was a fab set. And it so happens that the new LA 10@10 did '71 the other day:

Quote
Locomotive Breath - Jethro Tull
Thank You - Bonnie Raitt
Put Your Hand in the Hand - Ocean
Life on Mars - David Bowie
Reason to Believe - Rod Stewart
Bitch - Rolling Stones
Graham Nash - Chicago - We Can Change the World
One - Three Dog Night
Statesboro Blues - Allman Brothers Band
Shaft - Isaac Hayes

That Bonnie Raitt song (it's NOT her Sam & Dave cover) is NTM, and of course they screwed up by playing 3DN's "One" in '71, it's from '69.  Not sure if they go back further, year-wise.  But Ocean is impressive -- has Dave ever played that?

ETA: they did '68 today!  see list in the "Regional" thread

Not sure where everybody is, but this is a really great set (2-9-07, if you want to look it up).  And it's a Spot-The-Vinyl set ta boot.

I shoulda never mentioned that '71 was long-missing the day before I had a morning appointment. I figured either they'd go 90s, or earlier in the 70s, but damnit I didn't think they'd do '71. Have to try to catch the replay tonight.

BUT! Just checked my archive DB, and I had the good sense to record this back in '71! Whew!
Let's get right to it.

That would be some INCREDIBLE foresight.
