Paul Collins Beat gets my last BOS of the day.

At this rate I don't think I will be able to make a b-day request of Dave, even if he comes back as soon as next week.
It just occurred to me that I missed my chance this year, since my birthday was on Saturday.

My dislike of "Flaming De-Zii-YAHH" is well documented.  WOS.

I'm in the opposite camp, but still wish DM would explore more of the Nelson/Be Bop Deluxe catalog besides this one song. Panic in the World would be lovely, but probably not gonna happen.

indeed -- "Life in the Air Age" (correct title?) was a fave at my college radio station.

Yep, that's the name; it was on Sunburst Finish. And it spawned the title of their obligatory (in the late 70s) double-live set, Live in the Air Age.
Let's get right to it.

Tanks.  I got my old band together and we rocked the garage, I can tell you.  It was big fun.

First I'm hearing of it -- but I'm sad to find this out.

and it wins BOS "as it should be", sez Dave.

Belated happy BD! Do anything fun to celebrate? (ETA: I see you already answered that question.)

And with Rastermon's yesterday, it's a regular b-day fest around here.
Let's get right to it.

So every now and then Dave gets on Yahoo Messenger and I'm tempted to ask him what's up, but I always chicken out.  Anybody tempted, or actually asked him something?

I haven't ever caught him online, as my current gig is using AIM for IM communications, not YM. But I'm with you--I'd be a little scared of intruding on his personal time. Of course, he'd probably ignore me anyway.

Well, if he's on there (and still using "DaveMoCal") then he should expect a hello or a "we miss you, when ya comin' back"!

I did have a snazzy party playing music in the garage, featuring the old KFOG playlist pretty much.  We did "Life During Wartime", "China Grove", "Already Gone", "Crocodile Rock" and many more, including "Listen to Her Heart" which we put together just for the occasion.  I played bass a lot of the time since our original bassist wasn't available.  I have the two greatest (worst?) blisters on my 2nd and 3rd fingers.

Ditto, Happy Belated Bday Dave!!

We could jam in Dave's Garage, his wife was screaming "Turn it Down"!!
We were playing the same old songs, and sometimes we would play it all night long,
It was all we knew and easy too, so we couldn't get it wrong,
Even when we played it on the saxophone...

Nope, no Roxette, or Roxanne.
