2 February 2009: a "classic" from 1977
« on: February 02, 2009, 09:54:57 AM »
I heard the promo over the weekend, with Webster saying Dave would take us somewhere - pretty sure it was 1977, but can't recall exactly.

Definitely not 90's though.

That I would have remembered.

ETA: guess I remembered correctly!

You did.  Sadly, still no new Dave.  But can't complain about 77.  But sometimes I still do.

So today's the first workday of February, which would have made a logical day for DM to return to action. Nope. :(
Let's get right to it.

I haven't heard Radio Sweetheart in a long time, forgot what a country twang it had.  BOS#1

VHM #1 for jazzy Doobies.

Which means this set dates from Dec 12, 2006.

ETA: now that I'm looking past tunes 1 & 2...this is a really great set that I remember preety well.  More than one sledgehammer in here for me

dunno 'bout that, but it was a bustout when it happened the first time.  So was tune #7.  Neither have been heard since, too, and the same can be said for tunes 2, 3, 5, 8 & 10.  Tunes 6 & 9 have only been heard once in the past 24 months.

Yep--it was the B side on Elvis' first single, Less Than Zero.
