BOS to "The First Time"; it's quite a sledgehammer for me.

Have you ever seen Play Misty for Me?  Eastwood's use of the song (which made it a hit, tho' the LP was a couple years old) is one of the earliest examples of the "musical interlude" in a non-musical film that I recall being aware of, and this was a decade before MTV. Roberta owes Clint big-time.

heh, that's a good one, although I remember that section being a little silly, a bit too 1971-new-agey.  But what they hey, Eastwood did a nice job in his directorial debut.   The Monterey Jazz Fest section is also pretty cool: good verite footage of performers and of  the actors, who  wander through the actual fest crowd while being filmed.

Nah, never seen.  My relation to the song stems from a karaoke bar incident many years ago.
