Dave has new stuff on his page, including a 10 @ 10 faq.  Of particular interest:

"That record was released in 1975. Why are you playing it in a 1976 set?"
First of all, stop trying to bust me. Do I call YOU at work and point out every little mistake YOU make? Of course not. Most of the time, the song is released and becomes popular (radio play and sales) during the same year. HOWEVER, and especially in the late 70's and 80's, an album is released but doesn't
become popular (or well known) until the following year. I go NOT by release date, but by SALES figures and RADIO play. DON'T trust the date on your early Elton John CDs. Trust ME!

Though his point's well taken, I don't think he needs to be defensive: getting "busted" on stuff is the price one pays for being in a position of high visibility.  For someone making a living off playing his favorite records, it seems to me a small price to pay.

Btw, I kinda dig how they've been just adding the new postings to Dave's page without removing the old ones, kind of blog-style. Particularly since he's the only KFOG jock to regularly update his page anyway. (Annalisa's once did not change for what seemed like a year.)

Did you hear about the guy in Paris who almost got away with stealing several paintings from the Louvre?

After planning the crime, getting in and out past security, he was captured only two blocks away when his Aerostar ran out of gas.

When asked how he could mastermind such a crime and then make such an obvious error, he replied:

"Monsieur, I had no Monet to buy Degas to make
the Van Gogh."

And you thought I lacked DeGaulle to tell a story like that...

I kind of remember Gaz starting a bad joke thread, but found this thread instead....
