ooo! '68 -- "Ah Cain't STAND it!"

I suspect a Beatle Xmas message may sneak in here.

I've never heard this before.  Sounds a lot like "I'm Losing You".

BOS1 in any case; BOS2 "Tin Soldier".

Here's a likely BOS candidate: Small Faces, Tin Soldier. Must look to see how this did on the US charts.

Chambers Bros, believe it or not.

I can't explain what song number 2 is either.  Is it the Faces?  Shades of Itchycoo Park.

ETA:  Small Faces, that is.

I tuned in late, but from the description I think that's the Chambers Bros., "I Can't Stand It."

Pre-emptive 10-way tie for BOS; it's very hard to go wrong in '68.

They did occur to me, actually, despite sounding awfully, errr, white on that song.

Ooh!  Doo-di-di-di-Darlin'!  One of my very favorite Beach Boys songs, though the production and lead vocal are a bit slapdash.

The Small Faces AMG singles chart tab doesn't have anything on it.  Is it possible that nothing by them charted?  Or is it an AMG glitch?

Is it just me or was that a totally new '68 olympics clip?  Very cool bit of history in any case.

ETA: chades of Elton John, this was on the 4th(!) album they put out in 1968.

Who was that being interviewed?  Sounded like Tommy Smothers or Dan Quayle, though I imagine it wasn't.

Is that Olympic protest clip a bustout?

How do you like my Simon & Garfunkel avatar? ;)
