Simon & Garfunkel My Little Town
Jeff Beck She's a Woman
Aerosmith Walk This Way
John Fogerty Almost Saturday Night
10cc I'm Not in Love
Steely Dan Daddy Don't Live In That New York City No More
Patti Smith Group Redondo Beach
Leo Sayer Long Tall Glasses
Bruce Springsteen Tenth Avenue Freezeout
Ambrosia Nice, Nice, Very Nice

MAJOR kudos on Patti's "Redondo Beach", a NYC prog-FM staple that I have never heard on Bay Area radio in 17 years of living in SF.

A few I love and a couple I can't stand.  BOS to the Dan: "Daddy don't get no fine cigar / But we know you're smoking wherever you are."
“The choir of children sing their song.  They've practiced all year long.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.  Ding dong.”

I heard some of this set, and Patti did stick out as a highlihgt for me, too.  Also, the Jeff Beck instrumental noodling was nice, and for some reason I was getting into Leo Sayer's Long Tall Glasses (aka "I Can Dance").  silliest, bestest line ever:

An long tall glasses, with wine up to yar

.... but what I really liked was the audio trailer for Nashville.  One year during the SF Int'l Film Fest, they interviewed Robert Altman on stage at the Castro before they showed Nashville.  Yes, a very special episode occasion.  About two hours into Nashville's 3 HR plus running time, the film broke and melted on the screen.  doh!  Altman was long gone by then, prob at some watering hole.  We left at that point, too, b/c it would've been another 20 mins before it was back up and running -- rethreading the film takes a long time when the projector is using that continuous platter system -- and we had all seen the movie several times.

Aerosmith has to be one - Prob Jeff Beck and 10cc, too?  and John Fogerty.  and you do find Ambrosia's vocal affect a tad annoying, too, I recall.

I would have WOSed the Ambrosia and Leo Sayer.  There are 10cc songs I can't stand, but "I'm Not in Love" is far from one of them.  :)
