Ron (in hushed voice): "Uh, Nancy, who is this guy again?"
Nancy: "Michael Jackson!  He sings, dances and spends time with America's young men"

LOL!

Hey Wayback, any chance you feel like reprising the trek to Walnut Creek to catch Dave at his Peet's appearance Saturday morning?

So, um, is the set over?  Seems we had more fun with other stuff in this thread!

TANC:

The A-Ha track and the TFF tracks are the two you can find on the "Funny Stuff..." thread where the videos are "literally translated".

So we got both literal video translation songs in today's set. I think Dave might have been pullin' your leg when he said he hadn't seen that, Mark.
Let's get right to it.

Sure, let's pay our respects to the retiring DM.  Anyone else??  Be at Peet's Walnut Creek, 1343 Locust St, 10am -12pm this Sat to say hi and 'bye to Dave Morey!

We've had better, we've had worse.

But seriously, the 'Mats is a major bustout, & OMD & JCM were bustouts, too.  INXS, Dire Straits & TFF were rarities (3 1/2 years since Dave played "This Time", which is one of my fave Inksiss tunes, and believe it or not "Head Over Heels" only appears in the DB once, over six yrs ago).

otoh, Huey is just about the biggest Katrina there is, a-ha is not far behind, & while not a Katrina, Bryan Adams just sucks horribly.

I don't think so.  I've asked him similar questions a few times over the years (for example The Quayle Quarterly), and if he's heard of it he's alwasy said so and shared his impressions.  If not he always says "okay, I'll check it out."

so you are insinuating that Bryan Adams sucks so bad he even sucks at sucking?

Line of the Week!

(Sorry I've missed sets all week - very busy and stressful time at work.  I'll elaborate on another thread.)

I am scheduled for the golf course at that time, and can't let the others in my group down (lest I lose my spot for the future).  But it looks like rain, so maybe I'll be there.

conversely, rain would prevent me from driving out to WC; in any case, I'm attempting to "early vote" Sat morning.
