I just phoned Dave to ask if he'd seen the "Literal a-ha" video.  He hadn't so I sent him the link.

Holy Toledo, 5 songs in 18 minutes.  Maybe just as well for '85.

My thoughts exactly. Tuned in just in time to hear "super hit six six six" and saw that it wasn't even 10:20 yet. So those first 5 tunes were quickies.

So who the hell is #6?

ETA: Nevermind I see it's been ID'd as OMD.
Let's get right to it.

BOS OMD, "So In Love"

best of a mediocre lot so far; that'd be my BOS too, but I wish Dave'd play "Talking Loud & Clear", "Tesla Girls" or "Locomotion" occasionally.

Song number four was by The Replacements, methinks...  anyone know what it was..

I think it must have been "Bastards of Young", I only heard a snippet before my player crapped out, but pretty sure it wasn't "Kiss Me on the Bus", which is the only MOrey candidate for '85.

ETA:  Actually it was "Swingin' Party" which is most likely an ABB.  Kudos to Dave!

And here in '85, John Cougar Boyscoutcamp is tellin us we gotta stand for something, or we'll fall for anything. Now this is a bit of a rarity.

a lyric later ripped off by country hunk Aaron Tippin -- the guy who just teamed up with "Joe the Plumber" to get Mr Plumber a record deal.
