Judge is doing a salute to Rudy Ray Moore/"Dolemite" today. Just heard the trailer for Disco Godfather (!):

"It's a movie that'll put you in traction!
Comin' to this theatre as the next attraction!"

Bob Shannon is doing his "Lost Hits" Halloween show on WLNG -- here's R Dean Taylor's fab Faux Tops-ish "There's a Ghost in My House" -- no wonder he has 7 rooms of gloom.

It's The Drive's "other" internet channel -- avail on their website @ www.wdrv.com or by clicking "WDRV Deep Tracks" under Regional 10@10s. It's a very enjoyable classic rock stream a la KCDX or WMIR.

CG update: their player seems to (finally) be working again; I'm sampling their "Saturday Night Party Classics" show, which appears to be jockless, and an all-over-the-map conglomeration of upbeat tunes: 4 Tops "Reach out", followed by Wayne Fontana "Game of Love", followed by "Backstabbers", followed by "Message in a Bottle"... WTF?  So it's not a soul/disco show at all, and therefore not terribly interesting. I won't be making time in my schedule for this.

Switched over to Sweeney's Sixties Classics, one of the few interesting shows left on CG; just heard -- NTM -- the Swinging Blue Jeans' version of "You're No Good" (!)  And now the Move can "Hear the Grass Grow". I've gotta remember to listen to this show more regularly.

Amen Corner's "Bend Me Shape Me" is a totally different record from the American Breed's version. JoBoxers shoulda done a cover of the AC arrangement to follow-up "Just Got Lucky".

holy frijoles!  now THIS is the kind of internet radio that makes me hardly EVER listen to my itunes MP3s.  I'll have to seek out the retro-chart show for next time.
