I'm not a Prince afficianado, but I like the general sound of this song. It encapsulates the time pretty well.  It's interesting that such a gifted guitarist should restrain himself so much, and serve the songs as well as he does, instead of just blowing.

I've always thought "Prime Time" sounded just like the Moody Blues.  They and the APP had really come together stylistically at this point.
