Somedays are crappy.  But '90s days are rarely "better than others", Bono.

As I noted Friday: "A quick survey shows that in the past 3 months we've had '90 (twice), '91 (thrice), '92 (ditto), '93 (twice) and '95 & '96 (once each).  So we're sort of owed a '94 set (cue Weezer!) or perhaps the ever-elusive '97 -- we're still awaiting our 2nd visit there, iirc."

So here's another '93 set (we last visitied this year on 8/4/08) for the list. I would've sat still for either '94 or '97 (easily my 2 favorite years of that decade) but '93 has little appeal for me. Cue Haddaway, I'll head thaddaway...

BOS for Widespread Panic.  WOS for U2.  "Some days you can't stand the sight of a puppy".  And that's supposed to rhyme with sloppy.  Terrible.

I'd've WOS'd WP just on principle (that would be the "post-Dead jam-bands sucK" principle). But I'm enjoying Sly and James Brown on KPOO instead.

Listening passively to this set.  Proxy of Shray for "Connected," though I'd rather hear "Move Any Mountain" one of these days.

"if your mind's neglected...stumble, you might fall."

I think we have a consensus that after about 1988 Dave's mind is neglected, 'cause he sure stumbles and falls with regularity in sets from those years.

Especially when more often than not Rob and Ginger/Marcus give us enjoyable and eclectic sets from the same years.

I can certainly give Nirvana a BOS for "Heart-Shaped Box".  Not expecting much more.

BOS to Nirvana for nailing my mood today: "Hey, wait: I got a new complaint."

"You don't blow like the breeze you were born to be."

Sorry Paul, but these lyrics in fact DO blow.  Not that I can muster a big WOS in this context, but still...

fwiw, I heard the promo for this set no less than three times on KFOG over the weekend, so I've been dreading this for 48 hrs.

Well, arrived late (as usual) but I'm game to BOS the Westerberg tune. Bustout? Methinks it could be.

And VHM to a perennial Davefave, Tim Finn's Hit the Ground Running, that the DB says we've only previously heard in Pride sets.
Let's get right to it.

okay, I don't love 1993, but i know that "Hit The Ground Running" is a very poignant song for Dave, so I'll give it a BOS #2.

And I think this is different mix ta boot.

WP & CDT revive the set admirably.  Is "Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm" the only charting song that:

A.) has a title consisting of only a single letter repeated?
B.) contains the word 'lurched'?

ETA, both the CDT album and single peaked in 1994.
