expect Broooce.

ETA: and SRV, as inevitable in mid-'80s sets as the Cars are in '78.

VHM TalkTalk, "It's My Life". I had friends who lived 2 blocks from Forest Hills Tennis Stadium that summer, and we sat on their balcony listening to a Talking Heads concert at which TalkTalk were the opening act.

I wasn't expecting "Smuggler's Blues."  Did this actually air on a Miami Vice ep, or does it just seem like it?

I don't especially dislike this one, actually; it's surely no "Heat Is On."

But I just realized it's probably been over a decade since I last heard "The One Who Loves You" (title?) or "You Belong to the City."

Yes, it did. The song came first, the episode was "inspired" by it, and Frey acted in that ep as well. He also played the owner of the Arizona Cardinals in Jerry Maguire. "Show me the money", indeed.

"The One You Love", a #15 hit in '82. For me his finest post-Eagles hour remains "Part of Me, Part of You", from the Thelma & Louise sndtk, which deserved to be a much bigger hit than it was.

I heard something to that effect.  I would LOVE for him to do "O Mary, Don't You Weep."  But whatever he does, he's perfect for this moment.
