Happy "Luckiest Day of the Century"!
« on: August 08, 2008, 08:35:24 AM »
8/8/08 -- I'm wondering if Ginger or Dave will build a set around that, either "Luck" songs or "Eight" songs (Gaz, I saw your blog post on the latter -- isn't there a Styx song called "Pieces of Eight"?)
You spin me right 'round, baby, right 'round

8 has always been my "lucky" number.  I play it as one of my numbers on roullette.  If I'm playing poker and I start off with a pair of eights, I bet 'em like crazy.  I am figuratively bonkers for the number eight (an allusion to a seperate thread  ;D) .

Years ago when I was in "management" in the grocery biz, I used to dole out distasteful tasks using the pick a number between one and ten method.  The number was always 8.  Every single time.  In the 3 plus years I worked in that position, with basically the same crew, nobody ever figured it out.

So indeed, happy eights day.
