RIP Tony Snow
« on: July 13, 2008, 12:20:45 PM »
The former Bush press secretary and Fox News host had been battling cancer. It's been interesting to contrast the coverage of this with the Tim Russert obits last month.  Obviously, Russert was much more of a shock; Snow had been ill for some time.  But Fox, true to form, has been trying to set a new record for the use of the word "patriot" in a 24-hour period.

Their definition of patriot not only embraces but depends upon the government lying to the people.  Snow can fuck off.

I won't say anything good or bad about the man but to say fuck off is a bit harsh (How his he any different anybody in Washington, Democrat or Republican?? Both parties have lied to us. Though the Demos for a different reason).

Did any other networks cover his death (i.e. CNN, MSNBC) like the coverage of Tim Russert? MSNBC covered him more but was the coverage the same? (Fox News covering Snow more the MSNBC covering Russert)

It is harsh, but lying a country into war makes a person complicit in the thousands and thousands of soldiers' (and civilians') lives lost.
