I really did love "Margaritaville" in '77. Who knew it would spawn an empire!
Parrothead trivia:  What unusual distinction does Buffet share with Ernest Hemingway, John Steinbeck, William Styron, Irving Wallace, Dr. Seuss and Mitch Albom?
I'm thinking they're all published authors  -- is it that simple?
It's on the right track.  But it's something they all accomplished in the works they published.
They were all #1 on NY Times Bestseller List??

Getting very warm....
Hmm, the quote parser is screwy.

TANC: phone call made me miss Eddy Grant, who was the guest on CG's retro-chart show this week. And his "Gimme Hope Jo'anna" is another great anti-apartheid song that, while a Top 10 UK hit, is unknown in the US.

The surprising part is that Dr. Seuss' non-fiction winner was "If I Ran the Circus".

9.   1983 - Eddie Grant - Electric Avenue
10.   1984 - ZZ Top - Leggs

Note to the KFOG intern: it's "Eddy" Grant. And while "Legs" eventually became a commercial for Leggs, the song itself only has one G. ::)
