some Prince-sounding thing "Take Me With You"

That's 'cause it's, er, PRINCE. (sheesh  ;) )

'95 was one thing; no excuses in '84, bub!

I guess considering your avatar, I shouldn't have exposed such ignorance!

WOS Zebra, "Bears" -- a total Narada to me, and I've never understood Dave's love for it.

Brad Garrett was on Star Search?  I assume that's the ELRaymond frankenstein monster?

Yup. He'd been around for some time before landing in sitcom-ville. He was great, pre-Raymond, on a short-lived show called "Pursuit of happiness", playing a big butch gay guy.
He'd certainly be big.  6' 8.5" according to IMDB.

- He'd have an enormous schwanschtucker.

- It goes without saying.

- He's going to be very popular.

guitarist named Randy Jackson (different guy) who actually sounds pretty talented.

Yes, a total Narada, but a catchy tune nonetheless!

Point taken. But for me this is typical of the generic stuff AOR was awash in at the time; it's the reason alt/New Wave formats began to flourish.

I agree.  Good rarity points for this one.

Ohhh, towering WOS for John Waite.  I've always hated this one.

"That's the letter 'U'... and the numeral '2'"

and BOS2 from me.  Yikes! Mr Waite -- I wasn't missing him at all. One of many attempts to duplicate the sound of "Every Breath you Take", and WOS2 for that reason alone.

BOS Lou Reed, "Ah Lurves You Suzanne"
Is he talking about Leonard Cohen's girlfirend?
I doubt she loves his perfect body or his mind.
More like his stash.  So what don't you like about Lou, personally?
I never liked his "Suzanne," but I'm still grousing b/c he went off on a journalist for asking an innocent question about money.  As someone in the field, I'm sympathetic.  This is discussed in one of the Stream of Consciousness threads, probably Print Media?
