WTF?!? I'd have sworn we were due for a 70s set.

TFF leads off, aspiring to world domination.

Let's get right to it.

I would have sworn likewise, but then again I have to take a conf call, so I won't feel so bad now.

Have fun!

Found this one in the DB--originally aired 12/6/2006. Some good songs coming up. The song that won BOS, however, is not one of them.

BOS from me for Prince, Pop Life.
Let's get right to it.

Sade singing "she's the school's operator" much like the earlier Paul Young song, "Everytime you go away you take a piece of meat with you..." ;)

WOS for Bryan.

This is the one I was referring to--it wins the popular BOS vote.

And this one (Jeff Beck, Ambitious) is a real Narada--don't recall it at all from '85.
Let's get right to it.

05/21/2008 - Wednesday! Today's 10@10 "Classic" is from...1985!!

1.  Tears for Fears - Everybody Wants to Rule the World
2.  Paul Young - Everytime You Go Away
3.  Dire Straits - Ride Across the River
4.  John Cougar Mellencamp - R-O-C-K in the U.S.A.
5.  Roger Daltrey - After the Fire
6.  Prince - Pop Life
7.  Sade - Smooth Operator
8.  Bryan Adams - Run to You (BEST OF SET!!)
9.  Jeff Beck - Ambitious
10.  Jan Hammer - Miami Vice Theme

BONUS TRACK:  U2 - Bad

Caught the replay last nite, this is really one of dave's better '85 efforts, given that "Pop Life" has only appeared twice in the db, ditto the Beck, and the Straits tune is a rarity too.
You spin me right 'round, baby, right 'round
