"Stone In Love" gets BOS & it was a Db bustout, and the Genesis was fairly rare, but my goodness did Dave hit the biggest Katrinas of 1981 with pretty much everything else.  I think he put more effort into the clips, some of which I don't recall hearing before.

I think he started at least 5 minutes early.

04/28/2008 - Monday! Early '80's...1981!!

1.  Go Go's - Our Lips Are Sealed
2.  Jam - Monday
3.  Genesis - Like it or Not
4.  Santana - Winning
5.  Joe Walsh - A Life of Illusion
6.  Clash - The Magnificent Seven
7.  J. Geils - Centerfold
8.  Journey - Stone in Love (BEST OF SET!!)
9.  Rick Springfield - Jessie's Girl
10.  Elvis Costello - Clubland

BONUS TRACK:  Tubes - Sushi Girl

J. Gils?  Actually "Centerfold" and "Clubland" sttruck me as being Katrinas, but strangely enough they're just as rare as the Genesis.  But the Clash, Go-Go's, Jam & Springfield all are, and the Santana is getting close.

J. Gils?

weren't they the band in Finding Nemo

I'd've sworn "Centerfold" was a Katrina too, but then we know I always say that, so I'm glad to see your lines getting blurry too (a product of listening to 3 or 4 10@10s a day, no doubt).  "Jessie's Girl" is especially egregious since it's the ONLY Rick Springfield song Dave *ever* plays, and the guy had 4 or 5 other major hits.  And we KNOW how I feel about "Mag 7" vis-a-vis the trove of other great tracks on Sandinista. Sheesh.

OK, I'll bite.  I can't think of any other Rick Springfield song, but then again, I don't seek it out.

You just HAD to ask, didn't ya?

Speak to the Sky (#14, '72)
I've Done Everything For You (#6, '81; a Sammy Hagar tune!)
Don't Talk to Strangers (#2, '82)
Affair of the Heart (#9, '83)
Love Somebody (#5, '84)

He had a total of 17 Top 40 singles between '72 and '88.

Contrarian that I can be, I prefer several of his lesser hits: "Bop Til You Drop," "Celebrate Youth," "Rock of Life."  All really worth seeking out.
