Indeed I am - but mostly because I thought he had died many, many years ago in some sort of freak incident (like a robbery or something?).  Interestingly, I'd heard both "I Go Crazy" and "'65 Love Affair" in the past two weeks - the latter for the first time since the early '80s.

A notable coincidence: Paul Davis and Al Wilson, who died a day apart, were both born in Meridian, Mississippi.  Paul Davis also died there.

Al Wilson dies at 68, had a #1 hit in 1974 with "Show & Tell"

Paul Davis dies at 60, had 1978 hits "I Go Crazy" "Sweet Life" and 1982 hits "Cool Night" and "65 Love Affair"
