KBCO 04/03/08: It's 1996

This could go anywhere.  Alas, Ginger starts with Ugly Americans, "Vulcan Death Grip," one of those post-Spin-Doctors jam-pop efforts with slacky vocals and shitty drums.

"Where Have All the Cowboys Gone" sounds better as sung by Apu.

OK, I'll give an HM to "Two Step."  Dave Matthews gets a bad rap critically, but his first two big-time albums hit me in a huge way between summer 1995 and spring 1997.

Most people thought this *was* Spin Doctors.

HM to BNL, "Shoebox," though they've done much better.

Finally something I can BOS: Gin Blossoms, "Follow You Down."  I liked its flip side, "Til I Hear It From You," even better.

Hmmm. Anyone notice that the 'BCO 10@10s have been skewing to more recent years lately? Just did a quick count and since the beginning of March, there have been only 8 sets from earlier than 1980. Methinks I detect a shift in their demographic target.
Let's get right to it.

BOS from me, too.  This was a pretty good album.

got interrupted, but wanted to be sure to give JCM a VHM for "Key West Intermezzo".
