BOS to "What Does It Take," one of my all-time favorite song openings (along with "More Love" and "Lover's Concerto").

"Todd is Godd"-given azz.

BOS to that and BOS2 Jr Walker. I smell a 10-way-tie, but I'm not sure what the obscure early Bread tune he's mentioned will be.

I'll see your "Lover's Concerto" and raise you an "Opus 17". ;)

Ooh, good call - that one should be in my Top 10 too.  And "Reach Out, I'll Be There."  Anyone else got favorite openings to add?

The Bread tune had to be before their first Top 40, which was "Make It With You" in July/Aug 70.

Steam officially needs to be banned -- worst '69 Katrina ever. (this is it's 12th appearance, and that's just per the shraytabase -- imagine how many times Dave played it pre-db)

at least by playing it early Dave gives himself time to win us back.

Love those ol' 7UP (and Coke/Pepsi) ads. Are they available on CD?  That ad just gave me a flashback to being in art class in 7th grade in 69/70 with Peter Max posters on the wall (had pretty hip music and art teachers then). And still have my 45rpm of Spiral Staircase!
