He probably took off to South Padre Island for the weekend. ;)

funny, I was listening to the morning show for about 45 minutes this am, and usually when Dave's out, Renee will say why she's sitting in for Dave a few times an hour. Didn't mention it once today, at not least while I was listening.

Btw, Mshray, nice pole vaulter you've got there.
Let's get right to it.

indeed, she started the show off as if hearing her at 6am was the most natural thing in the world, and after a few minutes of her babbling on, Greg jumped in to say "and why are *you* talking?" at which point she sheepishly said "oh... yeah. Dave's out sick today".

Yay for Greg, keeping her ego in check. Renee really grates on me, in case you didn't know. :)

I used to think she was just playing an assigned role: the "youngster" (even tho' she's pushing 40) who just doesn't "get" baby-boomer stuff (like Marvin & Tammi or the old TV themes Dave loves). But this morning she was clearly being herself and it wasn't pretty.

Holy shit, 1991 ??  I'm bailing. CG here I come.

And if that weren't bad enough, now we're subjected to the indignity of a 1991 set. On a FRIDAY.

There oughta be a law...

This (awful, IMHO) Webb Wilder tune has been the TOTHK twice, so I'm not gonna investigate further. You're welcome to join me in listening to Sweeney on CG.

UGH.  Color Me Badd alone makes me glad I switched to CG. (and TANC: Sweeney plays the Rembrandts! But it's the theme from Friends)
