The Drive, 3/13/08: 1967!!!
« on: March 13, 2008, 07:59:50 AM »
Hooray!  Dylan on the watchtower, BOS1

I've probably mentioned my friends in Jersey who live on Watchtower Rd; they're Dylan fans, which is a good thing because otherwise they'd probably have to become Jehova's Witnesses.

BOS2 Spencer Davis "I'm a Man', which would later (appropriately) be gay-disco-ized

My two favorite rock years in back-to-back sets!  And BOS to "I'm a Man," love the added tambourine/shakers on this.

This is a treat -- Bob did '60s TWICE last week ('68 & '69) and now this -- maybe they did a listener panel that said "more '60s and less '80s".

kudos to Bob -- he plays more non-hit Monkees tracks than Dave Ginger and Rob combined.

children by the millions love Alex Chilton! VHM "The Letter" -- when you've got a whiskey-soaked voice at age 16, you HAVE to become legendary.
