I know many here are fond of it, but I think Lou Graham's "Midnight" blew. Ditto Wang Chung's forgettable "Let's Go".

But uber-BOS5 ReeRee & Georgie-poo, one of the great singles of the decade IMHO.

Off to the gym, so I'll miss the last hour. And I'm good with that.

TANC --> Hey Urth, where do Club Nouveau rank in your Sacto hierarchy?

This weekend, Casey's '70s goes back to April 3rd 1971:

http://www.charismusicgroup.com/Cue%20Sheets/04-03-71.pdf

And the '80s version is from April 3rd, 1982:

http://www.oldradioshows.com/at40/040382.html

'71 is always welcome -- even twice in a month. Sha-La-Boom-Boom, Yeah! The '82 chart allows us to hear Bob & Doug Mackenzie (feat Geddy Lee) "Take Off" and a ton of forgotten hits by the likes of Greg Guidry, Le Roux, Stevie Woods, Meco (his worthless Movie Medley), H&O ("Did It In a Minute")...and the one we WISH we could forget, Charlene's drag queen fave "Never Been to Me".

Wow: Gotta love any set where I can get 4 NTMs in the first half-hour: B.B. King, in his sole week in the 40 with "Ask Me No Questions," Stephen Stills in his second and last with "Sit Yourself Down," Elvis's "Where Did They Go, Lord," and Glen Campbell's cover of "Dream Baby."

WOS to the Bells, "Stay Awhile," one for the worst-ever list.

On this we can agree. Truly godawful.  And that Stephen Stills tune was another prog-FM staple that has been completely (and unjustly) forgotten, even as "Love the One You're With" goes on and on and on.

wow -- gotta say I never knew that story about Glen Campbell providing the singing voice for Steve McQueen in Baby the Rain Must Fall. Oddly, it was Glenn Yarbrough who had the hit version of that film's title tune in 1965.

BOS Stevie: "We Can Work it Out" is easily one of my favorite Beatle covers ever.

Bummer: the West Virginia station has dropped Casey's '80s. So it's Canada or nothing for me on Sunday morning.

Casey Kasem's American Top 40 - 3/27/71
2: Me And Bobby Mcghee - Janis Joplin
Tink, the date of the chart is actually 4/3/71, and in #2 its "McGee."  After you make the corrections, I'll delete this post.  Thanks!

thanks, correx made.  no need to delete your posts, let's keep an accurate record of what went down here!  :)

also, I was using the info here:
