VHM to "Masterpiece": great orchestration, but the lack of a refrain is a mild disappointment.

VHM2 to the good Doctor.

No predictions from me, though I hope we skip "All the Young Dudes."

I'd be fine with that. Not sure that Karn Evil 9 falls into that category. Nor does The Real Me, but I'm happy to hear it nonetheless!

BOS to "The Real Me" unless we get some Philly soul 'n' strings.

Some hair-metal act covered this in the '80s to decent effect - W.A.S.P., maybe?

Ain't nobody gonna touch "The Real Me" for BOS today.  My favorite Who song.  And I just watched Quadrophenia the other day.

Indeed--that and Moon's frenetic drumming are sending this one over the edge. This is the Who at their peak, imo.

Damn!  What a beautiful seque into Brain Damage.  One for the ages, Dave!   The end of "The Real Me" is always a problem unless you let the record go.  Problem solved.

Quite the three-fer of monster Brit-rock acts of the early 70s--ELP, The Who, and Floyd. EJ next?

Mike must have a meeting--he's conspicuously absent.
Let's get right to it.
