Assuming the list they posted prematurely is correct --- BOS Donovan, "Atlantis", despite the fact that another of his lovely tunes has been turned into a commercial: "Happiness Runs" is shilling Delta Airlines.

I'm going to pretend I didn't see the list.   :x

OK, the list is right.  BOS to "Eli's Coming," a stunning vocal tour de force if I may say so.  Kind of glad I've never heard Laura Nyro's original.

I would agree, except it sounds out of place when he jumps from his mellow-voice into his yell-voice, and I never liked the "who-oh-ho-ha-ha-ha" vocal fills.

VHM Winchester commercial -- I'd completely forgotten that one.

I haven't heard "Rock Me" since watching "MTV Closet Classics" in the mid '80s.  A shame so many people treat Steppenwolf as a one-hit wonder.

Fetching drummer, they had, too.

And as I mentioned the other day, John Kay looks like quite the leather daddy these days.  "Rock Me" is indeed somewhat forgotten (doesn't "test" well, I guess -- maybe it's that long conga-line break) but it was from a "dirty" movie (Candy) and that may be a factor.

musically, great contributions from Keith Richards and Nicky Hopkins.  Nicky really blessed a lot of bands in his short life.
