Well, I must say -- a fine effort from Dave today. Now get to work, Roger!

Indeed--another above average offering for the year.

But it sounds like the KFOG computers are having a little hissy fit--wonder if this will throw a spanner in the A-Z works?
Let's get right to it.

BOS, GK

If Greg were to do a cover album..

Khin-tucky Woman
Mexi-kihn Radio
I Kihn See For Mile

etc...
Kihnt You Hear Me Knocking

And the album can be called MAMA KIHN.

I've never heard "Boogie Child"; am I in for a treat on the replay?

It's an odd record, or at least i thought it an odd single choice.  It peaked at #12 but radio generally wasn't fond of it.

I don't know about you, but I got to get down to Swingtown.  Actually I'll probably be the only one.

It's still one of my fave Miller trax, overplayed tho' it may be.

Play "The Fonz" pinball machine! AAAAAAAAAYYYYY!

BOS Little Feat, natch.
Plenty of fast action on the Fonz pinball machine!

Totally missed the set today. In for the replay. Dave read a letter this morning about 8am from a Foghead who moved to Boulder. She talked about the 10@10 there and how it was OK but KFOG was better. Peter sounded like he never heard of another 10@10 show and wondered why Dave didn't "copyright" or do something to tag it as his personal franchise. Dave said "too much work."
It can't be possible that they don't know about the other shows.

Peter was either faking it/playing dumb or else his brain short circuited.  He used to freakin work at KBCO!!  He knows Ginger!!  And both Bob & Ginger have told us that before they started theirs they got at least informal approval from KFOG.

Peter's *excellent* at playing dumb ;)

Indeed, The Drive, the Peak, and 'BCO all have former KFOG employees, or friends of same, on staff (as did KINK, when they were doing 10@10).

Greg Kihn's "Mad Ave Man" -- another rarity, i think this is only it's 2nd appearance.

Just struck me how much this sounds like something Lou Reed could have done, particularly around New Sensations.

It's odd, but this song is a Narada for me -- you'd think a song called "Madison Avenue Man" would've gotten airplay in NYC (his other stuff from that period did, so it's not like WNEW-FM et al didn't know who he was), but this flew under the radar in '77.
