24 January 2008--it's 1977
« on: January 24, 2008, 10:00:23 AM »
Please let it be the good '77, not the evil '77.

So far so good--the late Steve Gaines workin' out on the frets, 'cause he knows a little...
Let's get right to it.

If Dave gives us the same ratio of rarities-to-Katrinas as Bob did in '76 earlier, I'll be satisfied.

We're off, you know, to a Klaatu land.  I wish Dave'd play "Sub-Rosa Subway" instead of this once in a while.  Maybe Klaatu can reunite for the remake of The Day The Earth Stood Still...

Not exactly a rarity (7 appearances since 02) but I have no complaints.

I don't know about you, but I got to get down to Swingtown.  Actually I'll probably be the only one.

Per the DB, Dave's done a pretty good job of spreading the (Book of ) Love around--he's played four different songs from the album, and none more than three times during the span of the DB.

Ah, now here's your rarity: BOS2, Feats New Delhi Freight Train.

And I left my life behind...

I'm the moderater in this forum, but I don't think I have any say over stuff like that. Gotta plead your case with Geoff, the site admin.

Either that or make another 85 posts--I think you get a promotion when you hit 500 posts.

And I left my life behind...

It was making annual appearances from '03 to '05 but this is its first in nearly 3 years, amazingly.

BOS2 ELO, the single that finally broke them wide open, despite their having had several Top 40 hits.

Hmm, I kinda thought this was Lowell George solo.  What album is it on?
