Just tuned in.  Bob started a few minutes early, eh?  Joey Covington, who was in the band for a cup of coffee, claims partial credit for writing WYL, but he and Marty kinda differ on the deets.  I actually had never heard this song until the mid-'90s.

Boston, singing of love with a vapidity matched currently by the characters in Cloverfield.

WOS to "December 1963" just 'cuz I got sick of it over the years.  But it's not a bad song.  My friend Dave* once wondered aloud why they chose such an inauspicious setting as December '63 -- mere weeks after JFK's murder -- but we ultimately agreed that the loins don't mourn.

Pre-emptive strike: Gaz will WOS the 4 Seasons, "Dec '63 (OWAN)" but I'll reply that it's a fabulous production, killer melody, and all-around great single. And you haven't lived until you've heard the French rap version in Jersey Boys.

they chose Dec '63 because that's actually when Gaudio lost his virginity. "Based on a true story" as they say.

OMFG! BOS Queen, "Tie Your Mother Down"!!!  closest to a bustout we've gotten from Bob in weeks.

More cowbell -- talk about a beloved classic that's starting to get a bit stale.  Don't be afraid, come on baby.

BOS2 Mr Seger, "Come to Papa", another one not often heard.  Bob's in fine form today. Well, Iggles "LITFL" notwithstanding.

OMFG2, BOS3: George, "This Song". Great video with Eric Idle, iirc -- maybe it was done for SNL, actually.  "This tune... has nothing Bright about it."
