You're right, of course. But it will be VERY difficult to fire up the base next year.

Ordinarily then I'd say we all get the government we deserve, but I don't want to get stuck with what someone else deserves!

You are correct again, good sir.   Bill Maher suggested that the "compromise" was what Obama had planned all along, but I dunno. Either way most reasonable folks are pleased, incuding women independents, which is a good thing.
