Just heard "Sunset Grill" around 7:15, so I guess this thing will go on thru Saturday at least, there's (I assume) a decent amount of T's and W's.

UPDATE: they just closed out the U's at around 5:30 with a double dose of "Use Me" (Bill Withers followed by, er, Hootie). Not many V's, I'm guessing, so the question is can they wrap this up before 10pm?  W and Y are the big factor, since they'll get away with one each of X ("Xanadu"? "X Offender"?) and Z (the previously revealed "Zooropa").

Looks like they've timed it to end this afternoon after all: we're in the "Where" songs at 12:30. So exactly a week -- still, a far cry from the 2-weeks-plus we've had on occasion.

You really got 2 versions of "You Really Got Me" (Kinks & VH). And you also got one final chance to win F.Mac tix when they played "You Make Lovin' Fun".

Copy editors and alphabetization geeks: should the "You're" songs come after the "Young" songs (as KFOG is doing), rather than right after the "You" songs (as they are listed in the index to Joel Whitburn's Pop Singles books)?

Webster's been on duty this afternoon, so it's appropriate that he cops some Z's -- he's gotta be back in less than 12 hours.

"Zephyr Song", "Ziggy Stardust" and "Zooropa" close it out.

I believe in ignoring nonalphanumeric characters when alphabetizing, so I'd go after "Young."

The phone book agrees with you, (O'Shea comes after Ortiz), but Access & Excel don't (the sort feature puts you're before your).  So no surprise that I stick with the latter.

Just when you thought you were out... they pull you back in! The Drive begins their version of A-to-Z tomorrow, meaning 10@10 goes on hiatus for the duration. Seems like they just did A-Z recently, no?

ETA: Nope, according to this thread they did it last Feb.

Would you believe they played Phil Collins' "Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now)" at the top of the hour?

Yikes -- but at least that's one Mani-like that Barry M actually covered on his Greatest Songs of the '80s remakes CD.

and indeed we get Ian Dury! But that's it -- no "Sex & Candy" (thank Jeebus) or "Sex (I'm a...)" by Berlin

But how did we get from "Sex" to "Sargeant Pepper" -- oh, the abbreviation? "Sgt"?

Just flicked the Drive on in time to hear Bowie/Metheny, "This Is Not America."
